Situated on the southern shores of Whangarei Harbour, in semi-tropical Northland New Zealand, One Tree Point Beach Resort offers guests individual fully self-contained beachfront chalets situated in tranquil, parklike surroundings with stunning views.
Guests enjoy direct walkway access to the beach, and close proximity to shops, schools and boat ramps. Cafés, restaurants, Waipu Golf Course, Ruakaka surf beach and racecourse are within 10 minutes by car. One Tree Point Beach Resort is the ideal location for individuals, families or other groups on holiday or attending functions in the Bream Bay area, or for contractors working on projects in the high-growth area of Marsden Point who are looking for short or long-term accommodation.
We are situated above a safe, white sandy beach which is fringed with Pohutukawa trees. Travelling by car, it only takes 2 hours or less driving north from Auckland and 30 minutes driving south from Whangarei.
With a boat ramp only 2 minutes away, and local operators offering charters, be sure to make the most of the fishing, watersport and sightseeing opportunities Whangarei Harbour and Bream Bay have to offer.
All our chalets are fully self-contained. Our small chalets each accommodate up to 3 guests, with a double bed in the bedroom and a single bed in the lounge/living room.
We also have a large chalet which accommodates up to 5 guests and has a double bed in one room, 2 single beds in the other room plus a fold down double divan in the living room.
Each chalet has a television, microwave, refridgerator/freezer and stove/oven. Leading off from the kitchen is the laundry and bathroom area with a flushing toilet, hot shower and washing machine.
Wireless internet is available in all rooms free of charge for guests with compatible devices that support Wi-Fi 802.11b/g.
Check-in is from 2 PM. Check-out is by 11 AM.
Travelling North from Auckland using State Highway One:
Take the Marsden Point Road turn off, continue for 7 km, then turn left onto One Tree Point Road and continue via the Marsden Cove marina development. We are number 156 on One Tree Point Road.
Travelling South from Whangarei using State Highway One:
20 minutes south of Whangarei, take the Port Marsden Highway by turning left at the roundabout. Continue for 2 kilometres, then turn left onto One Tree Point Road. We are number 156 on One Tree Point Road.

Tariffs per night for a small chalet range from:
$115.00 ($125.00 peak season) per double + $20 for an extra person (maximum 1), or
$105.00 ($115.00 peak season) for a single guest
Tariffs per night for a large chalet range from:
$125.00 ($135.00 peak season) per double + $20 for each extra person (maximum 2), or
$115.00 ($125.00 peak season) for a single guest
Peak season prices apply from 1 December - 28 Feburary, and may apply during public holidays. We also cater for medium-term and long-term stays - prices available on request.
If attempting to accommodate a group of more than 3 guests, try splitting the group into smaller parties and search for rooms individually.
