The term “you” or "user" refers to the user or viewer of our website. The term "guest" refers to our customers who choose to reserve ("book" or "booking") and use our accommodation services. The term "visitor" refers to individual who has not arranged a booking with us, or is otherwise unknown to us.

- The content of the pages of this website is for the User's general information and use only, and whilst we endeavour to keep the information up-to-date and correct, it is subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify this Website Use Agreement at any time by revising the terms and conditions herein. The User is responsible for regularly reviewing these terms and conditions. Continued use of this Web site following such changes shall constitute the User's acceptance of such change.

The term “One Tree Point Beach Resort” or “us” or “we” or "our" refers to the owner of the accommodation services and facilities ("facilities") whose office is located at 156 One Tree Point Road, One Tree Point 0118, New Zealand. The term "guest" refers to our customers who choose to reserve ("book" or "booking") and use our facilities. The term "visitor" refers to individual who has not arranged a booking with us, or is otherwise unknown to us.
By choosing to book with us, guests are granted by us the permission to use our facilities on the condition that guests intending to use our facilities have read and accepted the terms and conditions contained in this Resort Use Agreement. A copy of this Resort Use Agreement is available in each of our chalets. Should any of the terms and conditions in this Resort Use Agreement be violated by guests we reserve the right to refuse further service to, and refuse to refund any amount of payment previously made to us by, said guests.
Rates displayed are per chalet per night and include 12.5% Goods and Services tax (GST). All prices on this website are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD), are based on availability and are subject to change without notice. A minimum stay requirement, or higher per-night tariffs may apply during certain periods.
To confirm a booking, payment of the total cost of the booking is required. For example, to confirm 2 nights accommodation requires a deposit for 2 nights. When contacting us, guests will be asked if they wish to confirm their booking, and will be able to choose from the payment methods below.

- Internet Banking / Direct Credit
When paying by internet banking (direct credit), please use the guest's surname or company name or the invoice number (if one has been provided by us) in the reference field.

Medium and long-term accommodation rates are available on request. VISA® and MasterCard® are registered trademarks of their respective owners.
Guests who have made a payment to confirm their booking are able to modify or cancel their booking and have 80% of their payment refunded if they notify us of their changes at least 1 day prior to arrival. No refunds are given for any modifications or cancellations notified to us less than 1 day prior to arrival (including modifications of bookings after check-in).
Standard chalet check in/out times are listed below.
Any non-standard times must be by prior arrangement or a extra charge of one nights accommodation may apply.

All resort chalets are self-serviced, or will be serviced by us once per week by prior arrangement. Washing machines and vacuum cleaners are provided in the units, with a clothesline located above the deck or adjacent the unit. Additional linen can be requested from the resort office.
Our office is open daily from 9 AM to 7 PM.
Our chalet and office buildings are not wheelchair accessible.
Please scale any fish outside, and before entering the chalet please remove any dirty or sandy footwear that would bring debris inside.
All Trucks, Boats and Heavy Vehicles belonging to guests are to be parked on the southeastern grass area.
Gas for barbeques is available at Gasoline Alley Services Woertelboer Motors at the intersection of Port Marsden Highway and Marsden Point Road at guests’ own expense.
NO SMOKING INSIDE CHALETS - Smoking strictly outside only.
Please dispose of any cigarette butts properly by using the ash trays and rubbish bins provided.
For security reasons we require guests to notify us of any visitors they invite to the resort during their stay. We reserve the right to refuse access to the property to any visitor, for any reason.
Please note that there is a charge of NZD 20.00 per day per visitor invited. Guests will be informed when booking of the maximum number of visitors who may stay overnight (remaining beyond 8pm) in their chalet, and if any extra visitors who wish to stay overnight would be required to book another chalet, if available. A maximum of 4 visitors at any one time during the day is permitted per chalet. We ask that any larger gatherings take place off-site. We reserve the right to ask any visitor to leave at any time for any reason, usually due to noise or other disturbance to our guests.
Failure to disclose an accurate number of guests during a booking request is a violation of this Resort Use Agreement. Failure to inform us of an accurate number of visitors before the visitors arrive, is also a violation of this Resort Use Agreement. We reserve the right to refuse any requested amendments to a booking requested by the guest once a confirmation has been provided to the guest.
Guests acknowledge that he/she/they, is/are responsible to One Tree Point Beach Resort for all breakage, destruction, costs, fines incurred or damage caused to our facilities, including any contents, by the guest during their stay. The guest must immediately reimburse the owner for all such breakages, destruction, costs, fines or damage. Any damage not notified and compensated will be followed up by agencies acting on our behalf.
Disclaimer
We do our utmost to ensure the security of our guests and their belongings, however guests choose to use our facilities at their own risk, and so to the fullest extent permitted by law we accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to any vehicle belonging to a guest, its contents, or any baggage or personal belongings stored inside their vehicle. Nor do we accept any responsibility for the health or safety of our guests beyond that which we are required to by law.
Force Majeure
We are not responsible for the non-availability of facilities or the early termination of the Resort Use Agreement for any matter or reason which is beyond our control.
While we do allow certain pets such as caged birds to accompany their owners during their stay, guests must contact us before arrival so we can determine if the animal is suitable for our facilities. Cats and dogs are not permitted.
Use of the Wi-Fi Internet service (“Service”) by guests, details of which are displayed on the Notice To Occupants on the wall inside each chalet, is permitted free-of-charge. However, we have a policy for the use of the service whereby guests must ensure that they comply with all current legislation, especially regarding copyright protection and infringement.
Unacceptable Behaviour
In particular the following uses of the service are deemed unacceptable use or behaviour by guests:
- visiting Internet sites that contain illegal material
- perpetrating any form of fraud, or software, film or music piracy
- sending offensive, harassing, or unsolicited material to other service or internet users
- downloading commercial software or any copyrighted materials belonging to third parties, unless this download is covered or permitted under a commercial agreement or other such licence
- hacking into unauthorised areas
- publishing defamatory and/or knowingly false material about anyone on social networking sites, "blogs" (online journals), "wikis" and any online publishing format
- introducing any form of malicious software into the internet or local network
Monitoring
Monitoring by us of guest’s use of the service is limited to detecting if a guest is currently connected to the service or not. This is to assist in the technical provision of the service only. We do not monitor under any circumstances the specific content of any transactions occurring over the service.
Sanctions
Where it is believed that a guest has failed to comply with this policy, we reserve the right to immediately cease provision of the service to that guest.
